Pillars of the Earth

Warm up your Con of the North weekend with this most recent Mayfair game found at GenCon 2007. Faithfully based on Ken Follett's bestseller, you will take on the role of cathedral builder in southern England, 1150 AD. There are many ways to obtain the most victory points: you can run the priory, move the economy through the wool mill, or produce the materials needed to create the cathedral itself. You will find that "Pillars of the Earth" is beautiful in both look and feel. Play is similar to other resource-gathering games such as "Puerto Rico" or "Taj Mahal," yet it is different enough to stand on its own merits. Beginners Welcome!

This time you're supposed to find one out of a few thousand planar Motes, break into an ancient (and dangerous) tomb located deep within this place, and steal -- acquire discretely -- an object of particular importance. As always Travidar has fully briefed you on everything you need to know. Time, as well as discretion, are both of the essence, as usual. D20/D&D helpful but not necessary, open mind, sense of humor
